Prof. dr hab. Justyna Maliszewska-Nienartowicz is a lawyer specialising in the European Union law. She is the head of the Department of International and European Law at the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Studies at Nicolaus Copernicus University.
She has participated in more than 30 conferences, including 12 international conferences (e.g. in Budapest, Brussels, Brno, Strasbourg, Birmingham, Bergen, Rome). She has also conducted her research abroad during scholarships in Utrecht, Hull and Oxford.
She is a member of the Editorial Board of the European Judicial Review (Europejski Przegląd Sądowy) and International Editorial Board of the Quarterly Journal of Law and Social Sciences, issued at J. J. Strossmayer University in Osijek (Croatia).
She has prepared expertises for European Commission and Polish Society of Anti-Discrimination Law concerning indirect discrimination.
Her research interests concentrate on issues related to the legal order of the European Union, in particular connected with the general principles of law; forms of discrimination in the law of the European Union and its Member States; judicial cooperation in civil matters in the EU; consumer protection policy and various aspects of the functioning of the EU internal market.
